One hundred percent of Montgomery County Community College’s 2012 Dental Hygiene graduates passed the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination and American Board of Dental Examiners (ADEX) Dental Hygiene Examination on the first attempt. Passage of the licensing examinations helps ensure competent practitioners as well as safety of the public.
A total of 18 students graduated from the College’s Dental Hygiene Program in 2012. They are: Carly Ackerman, Ambler; Syeda Akhtar, Harleysville; Brittany Beck, Royersford; Patricia DeLauretis, Schwenksville; Laura Eberhart, Collegeville; Kelli Frame, Perkasie; Kimberly Frederick, Eagleville; Mattie Gehman, Harleysville; Malinda Henderson, Coatesville; Megan Herbert, Ardsley; Lisa Hezel, Erwinna; Lori Lemporra, Doylestown; Rebecca McKendrick, Bryn Mawr; Stephanie Muse, Pottstown; Ashley Valco, Aldan; Maria Wolczek, Telford; LeAnna Zerr, Geigertown; and Meghan Zimmerman, New Hope.
Since the program started in 1973, more than 650 students have graduated and went on to become licensed dental hygienists.
The College’s Dental Hygiene Program is a 70-credit hour A.A.S. educational program that prepares students to perform dental hygiene procedures in a variety of dental hygiene practice settings and/or to pursue an advanced degree.
