Montgomery County Community College and the Tierra L. Dobry Foundation will co-sponsor a Children’s Dental Sealant Program on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the College’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, located in the Central Campus Science Center, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
The sealant program is a community outreach effort during which free oral examinations and sealant placement will be provided for children ages six through 14. Space is limited, and examinations are by appointment only on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments can be made by calling 215-641-6483.
A dental sealant is a clear, preventive coating placed on permanent back teeth in order to prevent dental decay. During the Clinic’s sealant programs, preventive services are performed by licensed dental hygienists in consultation with licensed dentists. Auxiliary support services are provided by the College’s dental hygiene students.
