Bring your friends and family for a fun night of baseball and camaraderie at Coca-Cola Park, 1050 Ironpigs Way, Allentown, as the Lehigh Valley IronPigs take on the Columbus Clippers of Ohio on Monday, June 23, at 7:05 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and can be reserved by visiting mc3.edu/foundation/alumni/events.
Former Montgomery County Community College Mustangs, staff, friends and family are invited to wear the school colors of maroon and grey and bring their posters and cheer on College President Dr. Karen Stout as she starts the game with the ceremonial first pitch.
Hosted by the Montgomery County Community College Alumni Association, the game makes for a great opportunity to reconnect with former classmates or meet new alumni while watching the IronPigs, the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The modern Coca-Cola Park, which opened in 2008 for the IronPigs’ first season, comfortably seats more than 8,100 persons.
The minor league baseball team’s unique name is derived from pig iron that was used to manufacture steel in the Lehigh Valley region. Similarly, the mascots are named Ferrous, the chemical name for iron, and FeFe, for the abbreviation for iron, Fe.
Reserve your seats today. For more information, call 215-461-1139.
