Celebrity Chef and Author Maria Liberati will bring her expertise in Tuscan cuisine to The Culinary Arts Institute at Montgomery County Community College, 1400 Forty Foot Road, Lansdale, on May 10 from 5-8 p.m.
“Cooking Authentic Tuscan Style” includes a copy of Liberati’s book, The Art of the Tuscan Meal, a two hour of cooking, samples of each course, and a one-hour audience engagement and autograph opportunity. Maria Liberati has won the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for her bestselling book series, The Basic Art of Cooking, which reflects her life at a country farm in the mountains of Italy and as a professional chef. The New York Travel and Writers’ Society selected her blog, also titled The Basic Art of Cooking, as the Culinary Travel Blog of the Year.
Considered one of the foremost experts on Italian culinary arts and culture, Liberati has been featured in such magazines as Cooking Light, Woman’s World, San Francisco Chronicle and Zest in the United Kingdom. She is frequently featured on television in Italy and the United States, and she is currently working on developing her own series for PBS.
