Kudos!

On Nov. 11, the History Club hosted a talk by a Vietnam War Veteran Don Yost about his experience in Vietnam. A Purple Heart recipient, Yost teaches English at MCCC. More than 25 students participated in the event.

Dr. Debbie Levin, professor of Education, received a surprise visit from a masked North Penn United Way (NPUW) volunteer while teaching one of her Early Childhood Education classes on Dec. 5.

Levin is among a distinguished group of 20 individuals selected as NPUW’s 2014 Superheroes United for Kids. Together, the group – comprised of educators, business professionals, public officials, law enforcement officers and others – will help NPUW prepare for its third annual Superheroes United for Kids fundraising gala on April 25 at Pine Crest Country Club.

Epilepsy

Members of the College community observed Epilepsy Awareness Month.

Led by the Financial Aid department, the College provided info to students, faculty and staff on Nov. 26 at the Central Campus in observation of National Epilepsy Awareness Month.

165 students were inducted into the Alpha Kappa Zeta and Beta Tau Lambda chapters of Phi Theta Kappa this fall. See the full list.
