Montgomery County Community College’s West End Student Theatre and Theatre Arts program are proud to present “Time Flies…and Other Plays,” an evening of one-act comedies by David Ives. Show dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Nov.7, 8 and 9, at 7 p.m. All performances will be held in MCCC’s South Hall Community Room, 101 College Drive, Pottstown.
In “Time Flies…and Other Plays,” humorist David Ives lets his imagination run wild and creates humor anywhere he finds it. What was the foreman’s job like on the Tower of Babel? What is first- date etiquette for 24-hour mayflies? The answers that come in these five short plays—“Time Flies,” “Babel’s in Arms,” “Arabian Nights,” “The Mystery of Twicknam Vicarage,” and “Captive Audience”—are silly, crazy, inventive and just plain funny in the raucous spirit of Monty Python. This production contains adult themes and language.
Directed by Tim Gallagher, and stage managed by Carly Kleege and Dee Smith, the cast includes Joseph Ricci, Courtney Gilroy, Michael Fitzpatrick, Finbarr O’Connor, Jeffrey Chernesky, Mel Cox, Carly Watson, Thomas Keller, Kara Cook, Ryland X. Beck, Leyna Gilleland, Courtney Gilroy, Mark Keeler, Kate O’Hara, and Michael Fitzpatrick. The production is designed, produced and presented by the students of the West End Student Theatre, under the guidance of Tim Gallagher.
