Montgomery County Community College and the Montgomery County Veterans Center are offering “Warrior Yoga,” free yoga and meditation programs for veterans this spring.

For male veterans, classes will be held Mondays, Feb. 11 and 25 and March 4 and 11 from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Veterans Resource Center at the College’s Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Convenient parking is available at the Route 202 entrance to campus.

For female veterans, classes will be held Mondays, April 1, 8, 15 and 22, from 12:30-2 p.m. in the same location.

No prior yoga experience is required. Studies have shown that yoga has several health benefits, including improved sleep, better management of stress and anxiety, improved focus and increased fitness.

Veterans are welcome to come to one or all classes, whenever they are available. Participants must sign-up in advance by emailing Sara Erlbaum at sara@stillwarriors.com or Deb Greenspan at dgreensp@mc3.edu. Documentation of military service is required.
