Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Moon Y. Ahn, of Worcester, to its Board of Trustees by the Montgomery County Commissioners. The 15-person Board of Trustees is the policy and governing body of Montgomery County Community College.
Currently, Attorney Ahn practices law in Lansdale since 2008. He also serves as general counsel for HIOSSEN, Inc. and for Hyundai Rotem USA Corp. Previously, Ahn held the positions of Assistant District Attorney (2000) and Special Assistant District Attorney (2001-2007) with the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. He also served as a legal columnist for the Korean Daily News.
Ahn serves as the Board of Directors Chairman for the Korean American Association of Greater Philadelphia, and he is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, serving as Vice Chair of its Diversity Community in 2011. From 2009-2012, he served as a Board Member for Ramsey Educational Developmental Institute (REDI), and he was a member of the Philadelphia Mayor’s Commission on Asian American Affairs, among many other volunteer affiliations.
Ahn holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of California at Berkeley, a Master of Arts in Political Science from Michigan State University, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law.
