Montgomery County Community College’s 2012 Relay for Life student co-chairs Alysa Murray and Danielle Kennel will host kick-off parties on Jan. 25 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Central Campus in the Advanced Technology Center Portal and at the West Campus in the South Hall Cafeteria. The kick-off events will feature information about the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, mini luminaria ceremonies, prizes for last year’s participants, and the opportunity to vote for this year’s Relay for Life theme.
The second annual Montgomery County Community College Relay for Life will be held from 6 p.m. April 20 to 6 a.m. April 21 on the outdoor quad at the Central Campus in Blue Bell. Teams and participants can register online at www.relayforlife.org/pamccc. The registration fee is $10, and all proceeds benefit the Montgomery County chapter of the American Cancer Society. Registration is open to the College’s students, faculty, staff, alumni and members of the community at large.
Last year, the College raised $25,000 during its first-ever Relay for Life. This year’s fundraising goal is $32,000. For more information, visit www.relayforlife.org/pamccc.
