During the week of Nov. 7, students “painted the campuses purple” to kick off planning for the 2012 Relay for Life, which will take place at the Central Campus April 20-21. To learn more about the Relay, visit www.relayforlife.org/pamccc.
Throughout the week, purple signs with cancer- and Relay- related facts were on display at at both campuses throughout. The Central Campus cafeteria also served a different, natural purple food each day and gave out purple ribbons.
On Wednesday, Central Campus students had the opportunity to make their own tie-dye purple t-shirts, and raffle tickets for Sunday’s Eagles’ game were sold for $1 each as a Relay fundraiser, along with Relay t-shirts for $10. And on Friday, the College community was encouraged to wear purple attire for the opportunity to win prizes.
