Gregory Matusky, President of Gregory FCA Communications, will present a guest lecture to Assistant Professor Tom Donlan’s Writing for Public Relations Campaigns class on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 3 p.m. in Advanced Technology Center 101 at the Central Campus. The lecture will be simulcast to South Hall 213 at the West Campus. The College community is invited to attend, and classes are welcome. Please email Tom Donlan to RSVP.
Matusky will speak on the use of iPads, apps and social media in public relations. An August 2010 post on his blog, Gregarious, served as the inspiration for Donlan to incorporate the use of iPads into SPC 225. In the post, Matusky addresses the ways tablets will fundamentally change the field of public relations.
Matusky’s career began as a writer for Success magazine, and his work has been published in Inc., Forbes and Newsweek magazines. In the 1990s, he transitioned to public relations, and he founded Gregory FCA Communications 20 years ago. Gregory FCA is a full service public relations firm that specializes in national media relations, investor relations and financial communications. The firm is ranked among the 30 largest firms in America. Gregory FCA was among the first public relations firms to integrate social media into integrated communications campaigns.
2007 Montgomery County Community College graduate Kwan Morrow, Social Media Account Executive with Gregory FCA, will join Matusky for the lecture.
