Scholarship Scramble Helps Students Achieve Their Dreams

by Diane VanDyke

The College’s Foundation will hold its 12th Annual Scholarship Scramble Golf Outing at Talamore Country Club in Ambler on Monday, Sept. 26. Proceeds from the event benefit scholarships and student programs.

Registration starts at 11 a.m. followed by a lunch buffet. Participants can warm-up and practice on the driving range before the outing begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.  The scramble concludes with a cocktail reception, dinner and awards presentation from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

This year’s sponsors include Janney Montgomery Scott, CBIZ, Culinart, Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Gwynedd-Mercy College, Trudy Mann, Rep. Kate Harper, College President Dr. Karen Stout, Abington Health Lansdale Hospital, Continental Bank, Sovereign Security, Gallagher Fluid Seals, Thomas Frietag and Edward Furman. Additional sponsorships are still available.

The Scholarship Scramble is an excellent opportunity to help students achieve their dreams of a college education. Fundraising events, like the Scholarship Scramble, enable the College to provide scholarship opportunities for students who demonstrate a potential to succeed but lack the financial means to accomplish their goals. With today’s economic situation, this financial assistance is more important than ever.
