Reconnect with former classmates and rekindle old friendships at Montgomery County Community College’s Alumni Homecoming Day on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the College’s Central Campus in Blue Bell.
The event, held in conjunction with the College’s annual Community Day, starts with the second annual Strides for Scholarships 5K Race and Fitness Walk. Registration check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race/walk begins at 8:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Alumni Association Scholarship Fund. Prizes will be awarded.

Following the race and walk, alumni and their families are invited to a free “Taste of Philly” lunch reception at Parkhouse Hall from 11 a.m. to noon. Then, from noon-1 p.m. enjoy a CSI Forensic Presentation, “Dead Men DO Tell Tales,” hosted by District Attorney Risa V. Ferman and Chief of County Detectives (and College alumnus) Oscar Vance Jr.
Members of the local law enforcement community and the College’s Criminal Justice program will present special programs on family and Internet safety, including an appearance by McGruff the Crime Fighting dog, child fingerprinting, cyber-bullying prevention, self-defense demonstrations, drunk goggle demonstration and county forensic van tours.
Following the presentation and programs, stay and enjoy the numerous Community Day activities, live music, athletic games, farmers market, family-friendly activities and health and wellness fair held in and around the campus quad.
