In recognition of April’s designation as National Financial Literacy Month, Montgomery County Community College and TD Bank will be hosting a free financial workshop, “Common Cents—Increase Your Understanding of Credit, Credit Card Debt, Budgeting and Money Management.”
This financial workshop is open to students and the public and will be offered at both campuses. On Monday, April 11, from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. the workshop will be held in Room 220, South Hall, West Campus, 101 College Drive, Pottstown. On Wednesday, April 13, from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. the workshop will be held in Room 121, Parkhouse Hall, Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
Presented by TD Bank Regional Vice President Geoffrey Brandon, the financial literacy workshop will help students gain a better understanding of credit and learn money management skills, which are integral parts of developing healthy financial habits.
“At TD Bank, we believe it’s important to start teaching young people about savings early,” said Brandon. “TD Bank dedicates thousands of hours to financial literacy by teaching free lessons to students across our footprint. We firmly believe teaching these skills now will help them make smart financial decisions in the future.”
